Main Characters

Time to introduce the 4 playable characters, but first a little introduction to the start of the game.

The Beginning

Pokan is a strange place surrounded by a dense forest and mysterious fog that prevents anyone from leaving.  Born and raised in Pokan, Tal has left the village only once, a day he remembers quite clearly.  At the age of 7, he finished building a small boat that he called the “Mystic Voyage.”  Along with his sister, Audrey, and his two friends, Lilly and Dustin, he set out down the river and managed to find a way through the fog.  Despite his sister’s persistence on trying to get him to turn back, he continued forward and made it to a strange structure.  Noises could be heard from nearby, and upon checking it out they discovered a beast attacking a helpless baby animal, with its mother and siblings slain.  The children rushed to its aid and scared the beast off.  Tal, knowing the frightened animal will not survive on its own, decided to take it with him.

Heading back to the boat, the children stopped by a young feraline.  Introducing herself as Phanoire, she claimed she watched them save the small animal and was quite impressed.  Audrey was quite aggravated by this point due to Tal ignoring her previous efforts to get them to return home.  She pushed Phanoire aside and demanded that Tal, Lilly, and Dustin get on and leave.  Tal apologizes to the feraline and reluctantly leaves.

Returning home with met with sudden tragedy.  Tal and Audrey found their mother on the ground and unresponsive.  Audrey, frustrated and very upset with Tal ran off.  While Lilly ran off to seek help, Dustin offered to go after Audrey, leaving just Tal at his mother’s side.  Audrey and Dustin were not seen since that incident…not until 12 years later that is…

Tal

It was once Tal’s dream to find a way out of Pokan and solve the mysteries surrounding it.  Defeated and depressed, it wasn’t until he was 19 that he finally found the motivation to try to find a way out of Pokan, and to find out what happened to his sister, Audrey, and his friend, Dustin.  Tal’s a bit passive in nature until he manages to put his mind into something.  He tends to get pushed around by Lilly and Yviar due to his lack of interest and not taking initiative.

He fights with two swords and favors quick combos over brute force during battle.  His innate element is wind.

Lilly

Older by only a few months, Lilly has known Tal her entire life and has been quite supportive during the troubled times.  She’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind and does not hide how she truly feels about Tal.

Following in her grandfather’s footsteps, she enjoys fiddling with gadgets and creating things out of the junk found around Pokan.  She finds life around the town quite boring and tends to entertain herself by acting like a nitwit and pretending to take nothing seriously.

Lilly fights with a strange flail that she can use to hook into enemies and objects.  Her innate element is water.

Phanoire

Feraline’s are similar in appearance to tigers, with stripped fur covering their bodies.  Phanoire originally met Tal and his companions when she was just a young feraline.  Although their meeting was quite brief, she never forgot about them.  It wasn’t until years later that she met Audrey and Dustin for the second time.  Although they did not speak to each other, she got a dreadful feeling radiating from them that did not feel right.  Seeing the old boat that Audrey and Destin left behind on the riverbank, she decided to take it upon herself to restore it.  Going a bit above and beyond with the repairs, she drifted down river until she finally reached Pokan.

Phanoire often gets conflicting thoughts about things, often times leaving her confused and annoyed.  She dislikes showing any kind of weakness which often leaves her frustrated and putting her at a larger disadvantage.

She fights with a large battle axe tends to act slow with powerful strikes.  Her innate element is earth.

Yviar

Yviar’s an animua, a creature blessed with intelligence and the ability to speak.  Tal and his friends first discovered him years ago, alone and at the mercy of a ferocious beast.  With no surviving family, Tal took it upon himself to take care of the poor animal.

Yviar grew quite quickly and soon developed the ability to speak.  He tends to get into mischief and enjoys playing jokes on the other people of Pokan, although he’s usually on the butt end when Lilly’s involved.  He tends to push Tal around when he wants to get him to do things.

Yviar likes to wear a silly hat and scarf.  He fights with his claws which are strengthened by the bracers that he wears.  His innate element is fire.
